Artwork Guidelines

Before you get started

If you don't have your artwork files or you prefer to email your artwork you can proceed to check out and send the artwork files to our creative department via email as opposed to submission via website. Send to the creative department at creative@clasmade.com, please put the name and order number on the subject line. We will not accept any responsibility for delays in processing an order if we do not receive the artwork in a timely manner.

We require "camera ready" high resolution artwork so as to meet production timelines. Although we clean up and retouch any artwork/logo received in order to make it print worthy, if you do not provide clean, high-resolution, camera-ready artwork, we will not be responsible for the resulting poor imprint quality. Note that the added work involved in cleaning up any artwork will also add to production time, which may eventually delay the order. We will not accept responsibility for the delayed production on an order when the imprint provided is of poor quality.

Clasmade reserves the right to refuse printing of any artwork that may be deemed inappropriate, offensive, copyrighted, or trademarked. By ordering from CLASMADE™, you assure that you have legal rights to the artwork and images that you are providing.

Accepted file types

We can accept anything: e-mailed art, faxed art, or mailed hard copy. Just send us what you have and we'll work with you on the rest. Keep in mind that to keep your order moving as fast as possible, we prefer to receive vector file formats.

Note: Changing the file name to a vector file extension will not change the file type.

Acceptable Files to Submit

Printing on the cups requires that most of the artwork be vectorized. If the artwork cannot be vectorized, for example a photo, we recommend that the artwork be at least 300dpi and a minimum height and width of 3 inches by 2 inches to keep its resolution and avoid pixilation of your image.

Vector artwork can be an AI file, EPS file, or PDF file. Vectors are able to maintain its quality and shape no matter the size.

Photos can be sent over as JPEG and PNG. Photos are bitmap files, which means that as they are scaled up they will lose resolution.

Color

We cannot guarantee the outcome of the colors of the artwork. Keep in mind that printing the file will cause the image to be appear darker than on your computer screen. We will do our best to match the color for logos that require specific color values. Please be able to provide us with a Pantone Color or with CMYK values and we will get as close as we can.

Please note that artwork needs to be in a CMYK color setting to be printed. This is different from the RGB color setting used for digital displays.

Our printers use a combination or Cyan (C), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y), Black (K), White (W), and Varnish (V). With this combination of colors, we are able to print as many colors as you would like on your Clasmade™ cup. We are unable to match colors that would appear extremely bright (Neons) and colors that are supposed to shine (Gold, Silver, Copper, etc.).

Resolution

Images taken from websites are commonly 72 dpi. This may cause pixilation when printing these images. Please check the file size and the resolution if you are providing artwork from a website. For best results, we recommend that your artwork be created and provided to us as either a 300 dpi file, or preferably as a vector file.

Images from a website may be subject to restricted copyright access.

Type

The type and lettering in the file should be embedded into the image file or changed from a font to an outline. This allows us to maintain the appearance requested by you.

Changing a typeface to an outline can be done in several programs.

In illustrator, this is done by selecting the type, in the top menu bar, select TYPE → CREATE OUTLINES or using the shortcut Shift + Command + O (MAC) or Shift + Control + O (Windows).
